Fleeceworks™ Thera-Fleece™ sheepskin is machine washable in cold water on gentle cycle, but you will discover that your item does not need to be washed very often. Quality natural sheepskin reacts much like your horse’s coat, in that dirt and grime can easily be brushed out once dried.

Every Day Care:
After use, let your item dry. Once dry, dirt and sweat marks are easily removed with a curry and a stiff body brush. A wire dog grooming brush also works very well to clean the fleece and restore loft. With regular brushing, your item can be kept usable for weeks between washings.

Spot Cleaning:
Use a waterless spray-on horse shampoo to spot clean if needed. This is especially helpful at shows.

Washing:
Machine wash in cold water on gentle cycle. We recommend Leather Therapy’s leather wash and conditioning products. After extensive tests, these were the best products we found to clean the fleece and condition the leather. You can also use Woolite or shampoo, basically anything you would use on your fine woolens or your own/your horse’s hair.
